Surf Life Saving Association
Mat and his wife Neridah are both active members of their local Surf Life Saving Club, Nowra Culburra. It’s an incredible community of locals who provide patrol services at weekends from Oct – May each year.
A volunteer organisation, one important of element of the club is the nippers program to ensure that the next generation has the opportunity to get outside, learn water craft and life skills whilst having bucket loads of fun!
Adults should play too!
In addition to their support of Lifeline Australia, Mat is able to leverage The Bay Games to raise awareness of Surf Life Saving (aka. recruit new members) whilst ensuring that participants in The Bay Games also get to learn new skills and have some fun!
Each year The Bay Games supports the SLSC by helping to provide nippers training boards, patrol resources and life preserving equipment.
The SLSC members also get to join the party as they provide water safety services at The Bay Games events!
